In one day managed to fit in many things pictures / spa / history Was a very last minute requests just few hours prior but gave me all the information and set a time and was on time at my hotel lobby to start the tour. Highly Recommended - A good service needs a bigger praise. First time using this website although was little cautious in the end turned out to be an amazing day and we covered all as expected and was never no pressure with an open plan as we go. She drove over 1500 Kilometers in all kinds of conditions rain, snow, ice, night, serpentine, sun-in-the-face and still maintained interesting conversations making the drive feel so interesting in itself. She was prompt each morning and we covered almost everything we had planned, and added a few as well She pitched in as a photographer landing me with a bunch of memorable pictures that included me. She allowed as much time as I wanted for pictures. Overall 5 days turned into hundreds of pictures but felt like a blink of an eye. Here is what we did: Day 1: Brasov, visit the historical center, Black Church, Rope street, climb Tampa by cable car (View Point) where the Brasov sign is. Day 2: Mocanita Exprience (Oriental Express of Romania), last stop: border with Ukraine, the northernmost point of Romania, traditional lunch Day 3: Cluj Napoca, city tour, Turda Salt Mine (the most spectacular in Europe), Sighisoara (the most colourful fortress town in Romania), city tour, City Tower Day 4: Alba Iulia Carolina fortress (one of the 7 wonders of Romania), city tour Alba Iulia, Sibiu (medieval city, European capital of Romania), city tour and Christmas Market Day 5: Balea Waterfall, Balea Lake, Rasnov Key, Sinaia (city of our kings from 19 century) The journey was so winderful that I am already planning another visit in a warmer season."

"Diana Showaround Tour I had the pleasure of touring Romania for 15 hours with Diana from Showaround.com on September 5th. I have not been to Romania before and only knew that I wanted to see Bran Castle and Transylvania (a little disappointed that Vlad the Impaler was not really associated with the castle). Diana put together two very ambitious tour agendas that each included covering almost 700 km for the day. I chose the first and she picked me up at my hotel at 7 am with caffinated drinks and a planned first stop in Arges to see their Monastery and the Cathederal of Curtea de Arges (circa early 16th century) . From there we followed the Arges River up toward Lake Vidraru where we stopped at the 166m tall dam and hydroelectric plant that was completed in 1966 that forms the lake. The view was was wonderful. We continued further into the Southern Carpathian Mountains on the Transfagarasan Highway toward Balea Lake where in the winter they build an Ice Hotel and in the summer have a nice little bazaar. On the way there, we stopped at 2000m elevation to see a waterfall and to visit her friend Vasile who sales traditional Romanian meats, cheese, jams, honey, and even some alcohol to grab a bite to eat. We stopped at Lake Balea for a walk through the bazaar and view the small lake. This area is very popular with tourists (both Romanian and non Romanian) and can also be reached by cable car from the opposite direction we were traveling. Then it was on toward Bran Castle and the town of Brasov where we pass a gorgeous view of the valley below the lake and the portion of the Transfagarasan Highway that was featured on Season 14, Episode 1 of the British show "Top Gear" (check out the YouTube video if you get the chance). We stopped at Bran Castle for a tour of the castle and its torture museum. Next was the city center of Brasov, a very nice and quaint Romanian town. After Brasov, I was getting a little tired (jet lagged from the day before) and so we decided to skip stopping by Peles Castle Sinaia and headed back to Bucharest. Did I mention we saw bears just pass Lake Vidraru along the highway? They were posing for pictures. Diana was a great hostess and tour guide and even after the trip she helped find other things for me to do in and around Bucharest. I give her 5-stars because that is the highest rating the app allows. It was clear that Diana worked hard to plan the tour and continued to support my vacation long after she didn't have to. Note that in addition to the pictures I took for myself, Diana also took pictures and sent them to me following the tour (over 50)."
